I built this project in Hood River, Oregon overlooking the Columbia River in the shadow of majestic Mount Hood and walking distance to downtown. It is now a vacation rental property.

This 50'x100' with drive encroachment turned into the breathtaking rental home!

Entrance porticos are topped with slate (as are the decks) and supported by custom iron rods from above.

The finished kitchen with custom bar top, granite counters, pennisula range hood and gas range/oven, custom hickory cabinets. All cabinets are soft-close.

Gauged slate tile is installed on top of many sealing and structural layers.

Windows and doors throughout the project are trimmed in honey stained hemlock.

Cabinets are fir, custom built and finished by Ables Construction. All decorating and finish design elements are by my wife and I.

Shower is a one piece fiberglass unit with dual shower controls, a seat, French doors and slate surround. All hardware is oil rubbed bronze finish.

Jacuzzi tub has skirt built to match custom cabinets, a skylight brings in beautiful natural light. Slate floors and granite counters complete the beautiful room.

Gauged slate. The rail is cutom steel that bolts onto the face of the deck so there are no piercings through the deck to leak down.

The decks are continuous via a narrow walkway making it easier to clean the large windows.

Bench window seat with towel storage below. Floors and tub/shower are gauged slate. Vanity counter is granite. Toilets all have soft close lids.
